Save One More 2

John 6:63

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life."
Humans have learned and discovered amazing things. We have placed men on the moon and returned them safely to earth. We have placed satellites outside our solar system beyond the effects of our sun. Man has learned to treat with transplants of organs from one to another. Man has developed amazing medicines to treat illnesses and diseases that a generation ago would have meant death. But even today with these amazing technological gains, we are all still threatened by one foul enemy that cannot be avoided: death. All men are condemned to death.
The Christian though has been freed from death. "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:55)
Only God can break the chains of death; only God has raised the dead to eternal life.
Even though God is the only who has power over death, we as Christians play the part of a medic in battle. Like Doss on Hacksaw Ridge, we are called to run into the battle of the world to reach "just one more". Doss understood that he could do nothing. He was just one man; an Army medic without a gun. Running unarmed into combat for "just one more". He understood his assignment in the combat. Treat soldiers. He could carry but one soldier. Though many more needed his help, he cared for the one. The one was important. The one is important, both on Hacksaw Ridge and in our life. We are told, "Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." (Luke 15:7) You may not run into combat where there are dozens who need your help. You may only have one in your life that needs your help.
  1. Have you experienced God’s victory over death in your own life?
  2. If so, thank God for His overcoming work in your life. Then ask the LORD to show you the "just one more" in your life. Who is the "just one more" that God would want you to bring to Him so that they may know that same victory?
  3. What are you going to do to begin to reach your “just one more”? Will you put away your fear and your sophistication for "just one more"?

NEWS FLASH--we are never disqualified from serving Jesus.  The ways in which we serve may change but if we are a follower of Jesus then we are commanded to share the gospel with others and to love others.  Go into the world and preach the gospel. Losing My Religion

Out of Darkness

Isaiah 9:2 I grew up in the country.  There wasn’t much besides the two miles of woods behind my house and lots of outdoors.  My best friend lived about half a mile down the road.  During the summer we would spend most of the day in the woods behind our houses.  At some point in the afternoon or evening one of our mothers would yell into the woods for us to come home.
